"I was influenced in the arts by my mother at an early age. Caught drawing and coloring on my bedroom
walls by my father, I remember my mother's defense and support: "Leave her alone. That's her room. She's expressing
herself!". Later, when I married and moved into my first house, I wanted paintings on my walls but I couldn't afford them.
I decided to take lessons and paint my own. My very first oil painting done with pallette knife was a surprising success and
I knew right then and there that that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life!"
